Compassion Month and the WIP Wednesday Link-Up

I’m going to ask a big favor of you this week because I know y’all are awesome and up for the challenge.

I’m participating in Compassion’s Blog Month. The goal is to find sponsors for 3,108 children this month.

I’m asking you to do two things:

  1. Go HERE and spend some time praying for the child that appears on the screen and Compassion in general through the prayer guide below.
  2. If you are a blogger, prayerfully consider participating in Compassion’s Blog Month. Register HERE. (PS There are awesome prizes for each “assignment” you complete!)
Prayer Guide:
  1. Pray by name for the salvation and continued spiritual growth of the child on the screen.
  2. Pray by name for the child to be blessed with a sponsor. Soon.
  3. Pray for the child’s family and community–for spiritual, economic, and physical needs to be met in a sustainable way.
  4. Pray for the many staff at Compassion that work abroad and at home to make this program possible.
  5. Pray for guidance in how you can support this ministry: (prayer, sponsorship, advocate)

Come back and leave a comment with the first name of the child you prayed for.
Let’s see how many kiddos we can cover in prayer!

I’m a Compassion blogger too! I love their ministry to children in poverty. And it’s fun that we get to help out in some small way:)

It is fun! I love that we actually get to interact through exchanging letters with our sponsored child. Make me feel more connected. We hope to meet him some day.

Yay! Bloggers for Compassion unite! :) I prayed for Kadidjatou and Hilary from Togo and Tanzania. Great post and call for prayer Mary Beth. :) I hope/pray that Compassion’s goal is blown out of the water and it ends up with double their original #. Child sponsorship is an amazing gift! :)

So exciting to see how you are writing in community with such a great ministry. We sponsor children through Compassion, as well as some other ministries. And I’m always amazed at the work done through Compassion. Thank you for sharing.
