1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..
When I first won the ticket to Allume, I was nervous. Would I fit in? Would I get lost in the crowd? Do I even qualify as a blogger?
But it didn’t take long for that community to welcome me right in. Shortly after the Twitter party where I won the ticket, I got an exciting little tweet from a perfect stranger asking me if I wanted to room with her and another blogger.
I asked the hubby, and he’s immediately worried I’m going to get eaten in my sleep. But I can just tell that me and this chick…we have a connection. Over the last 5 months, we have built that connection and grown a friendship. Online. Never thought I’d say that.
We can chat seriously–about our struggles as mamas, our desires to know God more, and our dreams as bloggers.
We can chat sillily-ly-ly–about footied pajamas, and grippers, and protected our roomies from evil intruders (SEE I DID IT!…joke from #fmfparty).
And it’s awesome. and real. and now I’m not so nervous about Allume. Just totally pumped because I know she’ll be there.
All because @crystalstine was kind enough to welcome me into a community.
