When you open a post from New Life Steward, what do you see? Who do you see?

When you look past the words and the attractive pictures, what is at the heart of this blog?

Moreover, when a friend, my son, my husband, looks at me–at my life–what do they see? Who do they see?

I’m an extraverted person. I love being the center of attention. I adore receiving accolades and praise. But really, at the heart of me, that’s not what I’m seeking. At least I hope not.

When I graduated from High School, I told my fellow seniors during my speech that I wanted to leave a legacy. I asked myself, “How will people remember me?” I based my speech on the Nicole Nordeman song. I want people to look at me and see Christ–God’s fingertips on every inch of me.

I don’t deserve your praise. He does. If you look at me, and don’t see Him. I wanna know. Because that is my heart’s desire. I pray He makes it so because I know I can’t on my own.
